Five Guys BOGO Deal Launches for 40th Anniversary
Five Guys is celebrating its 40th birthday with a buy one burger, get one free (BOGO) offer, valid through Thursday, March 12, 2026. This promotion is available only online and through the Five Guys app, requiring customers to use the code FGAFTERPARTY to redeem the offer.
The BOGO deal first launched on February 17, 2026, and has already made a significant impact, causing food shortages at some locations. Jerry Murrell, co-founder of Five Guys, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming response, stating, “We were genuinely humbled by your response.” However, the company acknowledged the challenges faced, with a spokesperson noting, “We didn’t meet our own standards, and that’s not something we take lightly. So, we’re asking for a do-over.”
As part of the celebration, Five Guys plans to distribute approximately $1.5 million in bonuses to store employees, reflecting the company’s commitment to its workforce. The BOGO offer is limited to one redemption per reward code and is not valid for in-store orders.
Founded in 1986, Five Guys has grown to include 1,500 locations across the United States. The promotion, dubbed the 40th After Party, is a nod to the company’s long-standing presence in the fast-food industry.
In Tennessee, the popularity of the BOGO deal has been particularly notable, with 32 locations across the state, including 9 in Nashville, 6 in Knoxville, and 4 in Memphis.
As the promotion continues, Five Guys is focused on ensuring that customer expectations are met. A spokesperson stated, “We are truly sorry that we didn’t meet your or our expectations.” Details remain unconfirmed regarding how the company plans to address the supply issues experienced during the initial launch of the BOGO offer.
