New Passport Programs Launched
Georgia Wine Producers have announced the launch of the Georgia Wine Highway Passport, a digital initiative aimed at promoting wine tourism in the state. This program is set to run from March 1 through August 31, allowing participants to explore various wineries and earn rewards.
In a parallel development, the 2026 Nebraska Passport program is gearing up for its launch, featuring 70 stops across the state. This program will run from May 1 to September 30, encouraging residents and visitors alike to discover local businesses and attractions.
Participation and Rewards
Participants in the Nebraska Passport program can earn prizes based on the number of digital stamps they collect during their travels. In 2025, travelers logged an impressive 147,000 digital stamps, highlighting the program’s popularity and engagement.
The kickoff party for the 2026 Nebraska Passport program is scheduled for May 1 at the Museum of American Speed in Lincoln, marking the official start of this year’s initiative. Jenn Gjerde, a representative of the program, expressed enthusiasm, stating, “I can’t wait to see where Passporters go in 2026.”
Special Events for Passport Applications
To streamline the application process, the Passport Division recommends that applicants fill out their passport applications in advance, which can help save time at the passport counter. Notably, it has been 15 years since the last passport was issued for adults renewing their passports, underscoring the importance of these services.
As these programs gain traction, officials and participants alike are optimistic about the potential for increased travel and exploration in the coming months.
